These "queue de crotale" type navajas - "rattlesnake's tail", were produced in the 19th century by the workshops of Thiers (France) for the Spanish and Latin American markets. The navaja butt imitates the rattlesnake tail rattle.

Steel: st. steel AISI 440c (USA). Hardness: 58 -59 HRC
Full flat grind, false blade.
Liners: stainless steel 420 (France). Hardened to 49-50 HRC.
Bolster and butt: nickel silver
Spring: stainless steel X46Cr13
Scales: black and white water buffalo horn
Inlay: four 925 silver Spanish coins of 1 real with the queen Isabel II of Spain. Exact handmade replicas ow our own production.
