About the author: Weapons and martial arts historian, armorer,  cultural anthropologist, writer, HEMA fencer since 1996. President of the Federation of traditional martial arts of Europe (TEMAF). Author of several scientific peer-reviewed works on weaponology and social history.  Field of scientific research: Social history of Spain; The cultures of honour; The history of machismo; Historical weaponology; Historical criminology; The history of martial arts.

Favorite scientific discipline: Source study. Strong supporter of sources criticism and verification.
